Emmy Awards 2018: os vencedores da maior premiação da TV

O Emmy 2018 começou a corrigir erros históricos e provou que a Academia Televisiva está antenada aos novos tempos.

A cerimônia de premiação teve início com uma divertida paródia musical brincando que o “problema da diversidade” estava resolvido na TV. A verdade é que as questões de representatividade ainda estão longe de ser solucionadas na indústria, mas os Emmys deram um grande passo na direção certa.

Game of Thrones foi coroada novamente como melhor série de drama, depois de ficar um ano de fora da maior premiação da TV norte-americana. O reinado da superprodução da HBO estava ameaçado por The Handmaid’s Tale, vencedora da edição de 2017, mas no fim a popularidade GoT falou mais alto.

O Conto da Aia acabou sendo a esnobada da noite, especialmente pela derrota de Elisabeth Moss (e seus incríveis coadjuvantes, vale dizer). Por outro lado, a Academia reconheceu o trabalho impecável de Claire Foy como a Rainha Elizabeth II de The Crown, e não haveria outra oportunidade de premiar a atriz pelo retrato da realeza britânica considerando a troca de elenco para a próxima temporada.

Outro vencedor que concorria pela última vez por um trabalho era Matthew Rhys, que finalmente levou para a casa a estatueta pela temporada final de The Americans - em um claro sinal de que a Academia parou de premiar sempre os mesmos artistas todos os anos.

Nas categorias de comédia, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel foi a grande vencedora da noite, abocanhando os prêmios de melhor série, atriz, atriz coadjuvante, roteiro e direção. Já as atuações masculinas foram para Barry, com as vitórias de Bill Hader e Harry Winkler (este, um veterano de Happy Days que ainda não tinha um Emmy no currículo!).

Entre as minisséries, The Assassination Of Gianni Versace rendeu mais estatuetas para o visionário Ryan Murphy e consagrou o jovem ator Darren Criss. A Netflix marcou presença nesta categoria com os atores de Godless e uma surpreendente vitória de Regina King pela cancelada (e pouco falada) Seven Seconds.
