A premiação de games mais antiga do mundo, o Golden Joystick Awards divulgou na última sexta-feira (17) sua lista de vencedores. O grande vencedor desta edição foi The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, game para Switch e Wii U que ganhou em quatro categorias, incluindo a “Ultimate Game of the Year”.

Outros games premiados foram Cuphead, Horizon: Zero Dawn, PLAYERUNKNOWN’s Battlegrounds, Overwatch e Friday the 13th, entre diversos outros. O homenageado da noite foi Sid Meier, criador de franquias como Civilization, que recebeu o prêmio Lifetime Achievement por suas contribuições à indústria.
“Eu não estaria aqui sem os fãs”, declarou Meier. “Se você jogou Pirates!, Railroad Tycoon ou Civilization, todos os novos fãs ao redor do globo permitiram que eu tivesse o melhor trabalho do mundo e eu quero agradecer a todos eles”. Confira a lista de vencedores:
